| Babysitting & First Aid course offered 3/27In conjunction with the American Red Cross, a babysitting course will be offered on March 27th from 9am - 5pm. Sign-ups are required prior to the class. Minimum age is 11 years and participants are asked to bring a copy of their birth certificate the day of the course as well as their own lunch. A limited number of spots are available for this session.

| Pfeiffer Nature Center - Literacy/Nature presentation 4/10Join us on the 10th of April @ 11 am for a informative and fun visit from Pfieffer Nature Center! This is a free event and kids k-2 are welcome, as well as older and younger!

| Almond Library Club meeting 4/14 - All welcome!Do you have a love for this library? Do you appreciate all that has transpired within these walls in the last couple of years? Do you have a few spare hours per month to help with upcoming events? If so, please consider becoming an ACTIVE Club Member! Dues are just $5/yr. Feel free to attend dish-to-pass suppers, annual dinner, speaker/special presentation events and more. Our first meeting is the 14th of April and we hope that you will attend to find out what we are about!

| Local Author visit and book signing 5/8The Almond Library welcomes local authors, Linda Underhill from Wellsville and Megan Staffel from Alfred who will be at the Almond Library from 10-12 on Sat., May 8th to sign copies of each of their respective books. They will have books for sale as well.

| FREE after school tutoring available at the LibraryFREE afterschool tutoring available by a Literacy Volunteer Peer Tutor. Come let Megan (an AU student) assist you with your homework on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons and occasionally on Saturday mornings (inquire as to availability). |
| Get ready for our Summer Reading Program!!The Summer Reading Program will be held on Tuesdays in the month of July. Fundraising efforts are already underway (look for our donation bucket) to help cover the cost of the program end entertainment as well as supplies, etc. Volunteers are ALWAYS welcome...be it to read to the kids, provide refreshments or help with the craft projects. Contact Val as to your willingness to be a part of the ONLY summer program offered in Almond! |
